Welfare & entertainment activities for the disabled:

The Heart Foundation and Research Institute used to organize time-by-time welfare and entertainment activities for better learning and life style of  the persons with disabilities.  This year Heart Foundation and Research Institute actively supported Blind People's Association to organize Nature & Adventure Camp for disabled children of the Industrial Training Institute of Blind People's Association (India). The adventure camp was organized from 27th April 2009 to 7th May 2009 at Penguin Nature Foundation, Manali.  About forty-seven disabled children which include eleven blind, seven deaf, ten paraplegic (Wheelchair Person), five clutches and fourteen partially disabled along with eighteen escorts in this adventure camp and enjoyed the whole trip. All the students enjoyed adventures like mountain climbing, horse riding, river crossing through ropeway, game show, musical night and campfire. It was all together a thrilling and new exposure for all the students, which besides boosting their confidence & also led to a better learning experience.
